Bella questa idea. Un'amica mi ha segnalato un'iniziativa degna di nota, e mi permetto di rigirarla a tutti voi in rete.

Tra i motivi di critica ai tipici attegiamenti materani, spesso si sente dire, e l'ho fatto anch'io a volte, che questa è una città che "dimentica facilmente".

Non è del tutto vero. Un gruppo di persone ha avuto questa brillante idea, ovvero dedicare un blog alla costruzione del Carro della Bruna 2007 .

Grandissimi, bravi! La cosa ancor più bella è che il blog è dedicato alla figura di un maestro cartapestaio materano: Francesco Pentasuglia

"One of my favorite Italian festivals is the Festa della Madona Bruna in Matera, Italy in the Basilicata region. The focus of the festival is the paper mache decorated cart, or carro, that's paraded through town. The carro is quite baroque, a complex construction with many intricate flourishes. Well, this morning Tina Festa writes of a new blog that's documenting the carro building process, which has just started. The festa is on July 2nd. See: Il Carro della Bruna. It's in Italian and English, so you can practice you language skills by reading it. And guess what? The guy that does the artistic paper machè work is named Michelangelo! Anyway, Matera is known for its underground Sassi dwellings, and you can get a virtual tour of one at la Casagrotta del Casalnuovo."
